All our beaded necklaces use hand dyed silk thread. The stones and silk are delicate. We recommend taking the necklace off before bathing or any water activities. If cleaning is necessary, use a very diluted solution of a mild dishwashing soap with warm water. Let sit for a few minutes then rinse and air dry. Do not agitate or rub vigorously as the stones can chip/crack and friction will wear down the silk faster. Store laying flat if possible to reduce tension on the silk over time. Please note the hand dyed silk may bleed color if exposed to water or perspiration.
